Merging Oceans

There is a fascinating photograph I came across at. The photographer was travelling on a cruise, when suddenly he noticed this interesting phenomenon.
Due to the fact that the two oceans have a different proportion in salt in themselves, the they have a different water density. So here is the result - it looks like an invisible boundary separating them!
